HISTORY
John and Anthony Durante literally grew up in the Construction Equipment business. Durante Equipment which was formed by the fathers of John and Anthony in the 1960’s. John and Anthony spent the better part of their youth working in the business. As the boys grew up they took management positions in the mid to late 1990’s and helped double the size of the business leading up to the eventual sale of the business in 2000 to United Rentals (NYSE: URI).Following the Sale of Durante Equipment, Anthony Durante formed Gotham Equipment Sales and John Durante founded Durante Equities, a real estate acquisitions firm and also became the youngest recipient of the esteemed Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2003. While building his real estate business John also graduated from Pace Law School and was admitted to the bar in NY & CT.
In 2006 John was awarded the prestigious Westchester Rising Stars – 40 Under 40 award by the Business Council of Westchester. Also winning the Rising Stars Award that same year was the final member of the trio, Christopher Jones, whose firm Financial Solutions, Inc. provided outsourced accounting and Chief Financial Officer Services in the Tri-state area. Christopher, a graduate of The College of New Jersey in 1990, started his firm in Princeton, NJ in 1991 and specialized in providing accounting and advisory services for start-ups and distressed company turnarounds in the tech, media, and financial services industries. In 2007, Christopher was also awarded SCORE Success Story by the White Plains SCORE Chapter and sold his company later that same year.
The three came together in the summer of 2009 bringing their expertise of the Construction Equipment Industry, sales, company operations, legal, finance and accounting with unique entrepreneurial experiences that has resulted in one of the fastest growing equipment rental companies in the tri-state area.
